Medical Update

Saw Jerry this morning and he was his own self again, much to my relief - although I knew he'd be wired up and out of it yesterday, it was still a little tough to see. He was sleeping when I first got here this morning but I saw him at about 9:30 and he is doing great: his first question when he saw me was how I liked his new mattress at home! He's not in nearly as much pain as he thought he was going to be and they already had him stand up this morning.

Despite the hospital swearing to the contrary, they have Internet access in the lobby waiting area so I don't have to choose between getting work done and being able to pop in to see him every once in a while.

Yesterday was a really long day as I didn't get to sleep until 11 and I'd been up since 3:45 but I did get a little sleep and seeing him in good shape this morning has been a real lift.
