Just tried to watch Transamerica and while Felicity Huffman is great, as advertised, I gave up after an hour because I couldn't take any more contrived situations that strained credulity. (Just as a small example, the ungrateful kid she's traveling with insists on camping out rather than staying with her in a motel. Despite her distaste of the outdoors and bugs, she camps out with him rather than just staying in the motel, letting him camp out and picking him up in the morning. And it's not for fear he'd run away, either.)
