Party Time

Julian Warner and Lucy Sussex threw a party last night for DUFF delegate Joe Siclari, who came straight from an Aussie Rules football match (which I was grateful he enjoyed because he'd told me at the Natcon that the only reason he was going was that I had made it sound like something one should do on one's DUFF trip!) A good time seemed to be had by all, certainly by me. At one point, I overheard someone asking Rose Mitchell how many fan fund winners were in the room and she counted 9! Best line of the evening was probably Terry Frost's: when someone mentioned how hard it was to come up with worldcon bid party theme stuff that was easily available in most U.S. cities, he immediately responded "Crack."
