Tomorrow marks 2 full weeks since I've had laryngitis. Aside from the first two days (when I thought I had a sore throat and still talked), I've had almost complete voice rest aside from some tests or whispering every few days. Still no voice. And I still haven't been to the doctor.

( HMO whinge )

I'm really concerned. I kept thinking this would go away by itself but it hasn't gotten any better. I am nervous that I might have damaged my vocal cords by straining to talk that first day or two. And it's amazing how dependent we are on the telephone: there are a ton of things I need to do but I can't do them without being able to call.
