Die, You Monsters

Decided I'd rather be poisoned than paranoid and set off the flea bomb in my living room this morning. I'm going to dash home during lunch to open the windows and then bolt out, with the hopes that the place will air out by the time I get home from work. (Anyone know whether fleas are either capable or interested in jumping through screen doors?)

One unanticipated consequence of being bitten (two more around the ankle last night) is that I will not be able to wear the really nifty gold sandals I found to accompany my salwar kameez for Hugo night as the ankle strap would press right into two of the bite spots and experience tells me they probably won't be healed enough to stand it. (Did I mention that I'm highly allergic to flea bites and get the full reaction, including the center blister?) *sigh* Looks like I'll have to search for ballerina slippers or the like and resign myself to walking out of them with every step.
